I am so god damned TIRED of all this "repaying" people for the past & appologizing & giving people shit because they're minorities & people thinking they're so much better JUST because of RACE. We are HUMANS, we must not be defined by labels such as this. Yes, there is still racism. There will ALWAYS be racism, though it is getting better. I AM JUST SO TIRED OF THIS BULLSHIT.
I do NOT plan to debate with anyone who refuses to respect my opinion on this. If you post something like, "I'm better because I'm black", I will ignore or hide it. Please be respectful.
You don't know how much I agree with this. I live really close to the US-Mexico border, and we have a very large Hispanic population. I think it's ridiculous that we have to print EVERYTHING in both English and Spanish just because a certain few won't learn English. If I went to Mexico, I wouldn't expect everything to be printed in English just for me.

Yeah, I know. I live rather far northeast in Texas (in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex), but mostly everything's printed in both languages here too. I think it's rather ridiculous, but it isn't exactly the bane of my existance or anything. I think it's more of a marketing tool than favoring minorities. It does help market their products to more people & therefore help them sell more. & with the fact that we DO have such a large hispanic population, with plenty of non-english speakers, it increases their audience signifigantly.

This reminded me of something I read once from an article from.. somewhere (might've been somewhere on the 'net.)
Anyways, it was this person talking about their school and it's clubs. At that school, you can have an African-American only club, an Asian only club, a Hispanic only club, etc. However, make a Caucasian only club and you'll get a lawsuit for racism.
The only thing that bugs be about minority privileges, however, is the collage thing. They need to have a certain amount of each minority admitted each year, which means that because I'm white I have to get in on strictly grades alone while others get better chances cause their African-American or Hispanic or Asian or Indian; not to mention all the collage funds they can apply to get just because of race. I'm 1/8 Native American, so just barely I can qualify as a minority school-wise; but while good, it also means I know that if I apply for almost any collage in Michigan I will most likely get accepted. Some full, blindingly white person could have a GPA a point higher then mine, but I'll beat them. It's unfair.
Collage admittance should go strictly by grades. Collage scholarships should go strictly by grades. Collage help programs should go strictly by grades.
But, we all know if they do some person looking to guilt people into getting an easier life will say 'that's racist!'

Yeah I know. It's ridiculous. I wish they'd just not allow ANY. I mean, why should people be filtered by race AT ALL.
I know. I'm 100% caucasian & won't get any advantages, but that's not why I think it's unfair. It's unfair because it's basing unrelated things on race.
I agree, one-hundred percent.
